FloOfymOofy Vår Tote Bag

Vår in Swedish means “spring”, and even though yesterday here it was still snowing, at FloOfymOofy we are already thinking of spring and summer and sunny days to enjoy outside in the garden and on the sea shore.

We have just created this very simple tote bag, in pure 100% cotton, decorated with a handmade crocheted heart in pure Egyptian Makò cotton 100% in a very fashion color.

This tote bag opens a brand new collection by FloOfymOofy called Shabby Chic that will soon be online and available in most shops.

Fluo... the Fashion, now

If you give a look at Pinterest, Fancy and even Facebook pages you will find that the latest fashion trend is also fluo colours, often alone – extremely à la mode – but most of the times matched with (total) white as you can see in most of Scandinavian design/fashion/arts & crafts/crochet blogs – and their relative Pinterest pages -.

So FloOfymOofy wants you to grasp the brandest new design ideas transformed in crocheted items… and you will find two brand new cuppa cosies, the one in fluo orange, perfect for an Earl Grey tea on a rainy afternoon, bringing in your home the shining light of oranges from Sicily or the sunset sky in Tuscany…

St Valentine’s Cuppa Cosy Pink Fluo

…and the one thought for St. Valentine’s, with a crocheted pink heart too.

Both cosies are of course completely handmade, crocheted. This time yarn is not pure wool, even though this guarantees it will even last longer.

For the pink cosy crocheted heart pure Egyptian cotton has been used.

Antje Pugnat si è laureata al Royal College of Art a Londra nel 2005 con una tesi sul fashion design... ai ferri.

Un anno dopo, ha fondato la sua etichetta a Berlino.

Nata ad Amburgo nel 1976, Pugnat ha cominciato a studiare come fare gli abiti all'Università, alla Facoltà di Scienze Applicate della sua città. Lì ha scoperto la sua passione per la creazione di lavori ai ferri fatti a macchina.

Tecniche sofisticate, manualità e desiderio di sperimentazione: ecco cosa l'ha portata all'invenzione dei materiali dal gusto altamente personale che trasforma in abiti unici.

Una seconda fase, più recente, esplora il regno di manufatti ai ferri più spessi e voluminosi.

Antje Pugnat graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2005 with a Master's degree in fashion design knitwear. One year later, she founded her own label in Berlin.

Born in Hamburg in 1976, Pugnat began her studies in clothing technology at the University of Applied Sciences in her hometown. There, she discovered her passion for creating machine knits.

Technical sophistication, craftsmanship, and a spirit of experimentation led to the invention of the highly personal materials she transforms into unique garments.

A second and more recent phase of production moves now into the realm of thicker and more voluminous handknits.
